DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

YOU & I are Chemistry very aptly defines the dimensions of this Subject. Products of Chemistry in our life ranges from humble TOOTH BRUSH to MEDICINES to VACCINES to SOAPS- DETERGENTS to ANTISEPTIC MATERIALS to TEXTILE to POLYMERS to CERAMICS to PAINTS to SOLAR CELLS to NANO-MATERIALS to ADVANCED MATERIALS like CARBON FIBER this list goes on and on and on….

Objective of our department is to prepare students to be professionally trained for joining Research Institutes and Various Industries.

SAFETY HAS NO HOLIDAY is the MOTTO OF OUR DEPARTMENT.

Concept of GOOD LABORTAORY PRACTICE [GLP] is imbibed in the students from their very first day in the Laboratory.

All the students are trained to work in the laboratory with complete safety gear. Also they are trained in handling of Chemicals in the Fume Hood, dispensing solutions using rubber bulbs and pipettes, usage of distillation apparatus, application of MATERIAL SAFETY DATA etc.

We provide hands on training to our students in usage and care of advanced instruments like UV SPECTROPHOTOMETER, COLORIMETER, CONDUCTOMETER, pH METER, POTENTIOMETER and FLAME PHOTOMETER.
